Quantitative Research

Quantitative research examines various issues among a sample of subjects for the purpose of producing significant statistical estimates in regards to different variants in the measured population.
Quantitative researches use "close ended" questionnaires, which are defined at the stage of planning the questionnaire and are intended to provide an answer to the research question under examination. Examples for cases in which the use of quantitative researches was made:

  • Examining customer satisfaction
  • Measuring advertising effectiveness in the general population
  • Testing concepts among the general population or among a target audienceEvaluating brand equity

Quantitative research is implemented in various methodologies:

  • Face to face surveys - P&P (Pen & Paper) or CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview)
  • Phone surveys - CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview)
  • Online surveys - CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview)

Each of the methodologies allows for both omnibus surveys and targeted surveys.
